Amethyst Solutions is run by a young enthusiastic team of people passionate for IT and technology. We have many man years experience in developing enterprise scale web applications. The IT industry spends a lot of time and money on projects that never realize their ambitions due to complexity and politics. By communicating expectations and delivering incremental releases to clients we believe that the pain can be taken out of web development and clients can be pleasantly surprised by what they get for their money.

We are based in Nairobi, Kenya but have clients all over the world. Although we like to meet clients face to face when possible in this day and age it is possible to build great working relationships without face time.

One of our key areas of interest at the moment is usability in web design. The web standards movement is gathering pace and finally after years of divergence it feels like the main browsers are starting to come together and take a pride in standards compliance. This means its now becoming more and more possible to write XHTML and CSS that work across many browsers without having to write specific code for each browser individually.

I have a bachelors degree in computer science, but don't let that scare you. My passion is for high quality simple solutions to problems. I love Ruby on Rails as it enables me to deliver bags of functionality in a short space of time so my clients get great value for money. I am also a passionate web designer and have a strong belief in standards compliant web sites using XHTML and CSS.

In my spare time i take up photography, Music and love to go on adventurous escapades to unknown places.

I have a great passion for money and financial disciplines. i love to play the stock market and my favorite game is the cash flow quadrant by Robert T Kiyosaki. At Amethyst Solutions they call me "sonko", because am the girl with all the money. I love reading inspirational book and breathing the fresh country side air.

Ally Macbeal. That's what they call me here at Amethyst Solutions. I am an accredited legal aid attached to this wonderful company. I love bowling and in my free time you'll find me at the village market hogging all the alleys. I have a passion for justice and my endeavor is to create a more legally knowledgeable citizen, one Mwananchi at a time.
